The road shows abroad took place for Cibus 2018, an annual event scheduled for the 19th edition, scheduled in Parma from May 7th to 10th 2018, with more than 3,000 Italian exhibiting companies, confirming that the international fair is by far the most relevant to Italian food. Every year 800 food companies face for the first time in foreign markets. The export of Italian food & beverage records an increase of about 7% over the previous year, with an expected turnover of about € 32 billion at the end of the year. The most important destination of Italian food products is Europe and increasingly the United States, but Asia is growing, primarily China, Hong Kong, South Korea, Thailand and Taiwan (Federalimentare data).
This growth trend outlines the profile of the 19 edition of Cibus (Parma 7/10 May 2018): "exposure of new products able to establish itself on the international markets and strengthening the incoming of top buyers from every continent", the organizers observe in a note
With ICE Agency a plan was drawn up to strengthen the incoming of foreign, European and overseas buyers - adds the press release - with a road show that is touching the major foreign food fairs and targeted meetings with distribution operators in the various target markets , ie France, Germany, China, Usa, Asean and others. An agreement has already been signed between Cibus and Macfrut (the fruit and vegetable fair) to facilitate the exchange of buyers on the concurrent exhibition days (9 and 10 May 2018) and their joint presentation in November in China, coordinated by the Emilia Romagna Region. The Hosted Buyers Program was also strengthened to help buyers define Cibus meetings and guided tours in Italian food & beverage companies. Cibus, which became an annual event (in the odd years with the Cibus Connect format in the same week of Vinitaly), foresees more than 3,000 exhibiting Italian companies for the 19th edition.
«Cibus represents, increasingly, for Italian food companies not only an international event of reference for the promotion of their products but a real tool to accelerate their exports, thanks to the many activities that Cibus also performs outside the fair moment - declared Giandomenico Auricchio, President of Fiere di Parma -. The confirmation of the importance of Cibus comes from the ever increasing number of foreign buyers who refer to it as the sole platform of AuthenticuthItalian, thanks to the fact that in Parma they exhibit only Italian companies with products of the highest quality ".
