Upakovka 2018 - Italy strongly represented



Significant growth in the machinery sector, strongly represented beverage technology, further expanded packaging materials supply. UCIMA will be present at the important event dedicated to the packaging and processing industry representing Made in Italy.

 

Upakovka 2018 - oltre 50 italiani presentiThe 2018 edition of UPAKOVKA, the most important Russian fair dedicated to the processing and packaging industry, scheduled to take place in Moscow from 23 to 26 January, is about to open. Many expectations for this edition that sees the Russian market recovering after a few years of political and economic instability.

 

"Starting from the second edition of UPAKOVKA under the InterpackAlliance brand, it can be seen that the fair, profoundly benefits from the experience and the Interpack network, an international fair, a leader in its sector" declares Bernd Jablonowski, Global Portfolio Manager Processign & Packaging at Messe Dusseldorf.

 

Over 50 Italian companies present at the event, where the collective UCIMA stands out (Unione Costruttori Italiani Macchine Automatiche) and an institutional lounge to promote Made in Italy technologies and the IPACK IMA 2018 edition.

 

Participation is part of the strategic alliance between Interpack, IPACK IMA and Ucima which, in addition to the reciprocal support of the Duesseldorf and Milan trade fairs, also supports Ucima at the Messe Duesseldorf international events, organized under of the "Interpack Alliance". After Moscow, the association will also be present at the other trade fairs scheduled this year in Iran (Pacprocess Tehran) and India (Pacprocess India / Indiapack and Foodpex India).

 

In 2016, Italy exported plants worth € 120.1 million to Russia (+ 3.1% on 2015 and equal to 22.6 of the total imports of the country), ranking second in the export ranking after Germany.

 

Encouraging data for the first nine months of 2017, when Russia rose to eighth place among Italian export destinations, with a volume of 103.7 million euro (+ 22.7% compared to the same period of 2016) .
