FANUC completes the R-2000 robot series with a six-axis model with upside-down assembly and a load capacity of 220 kg. ideal for small-sized work environments that require speed, agility and rigidity.
When the floor space is reduced, or it is necessary to perform access from below, or when the cell requires the robot to be installed under a platform (as for example in the case of extruders, or when it is necessary to move large trolleys on tapes overhead conveyors), the use of an upside-down assembly robot becomes fundamental.
The series of industrial robots FANUC R-2000, characterized by extreme compactness, high speed with thin wrist and arm and designed for handling applications, is completed by a new model with ceiling mount: the robot R-2000iC / 220U is suitable to be installed in all those environments where the available space is limited and it is necessary to pick up and handle high loads from all angles.
FANUC designed the R-2000iC / 220U with the aim of making it even more agile and fast, and for this reason removed the balancer; compared to its predecessor of the B-series, this 6-axis robot is lighter than about 130 kg and has an outreach of 2.518 mm (48 mm more), with the same load capacity at the wrist of 220 kg.
The new servomotors ensure even more competitive performance that, combined with the optimized design in terms of weight and size, the stiffness and the movement of the wrist, give the robot unique characteristics in terms of kinematics, speed and acceleration. Repeatability is ± 0.05 mm.
The R30iB controller, complete with iHMI interface, guarantees high performance in terms of power and speed together with maximum ergonomics.
The horizontal reach of the R-2000iC / 220U robot is 2,518 mm, while vertically it reaches 3,415 mm. It can also go up to 370 mm above the surface on which it is mounted; this is a particularly advantageous feature in the case where, for example, tools or gripping members are mounted and the tool change must be performed above the rotation of the primary axis. The use of components similar to those of other models of the R-2000iC series also offers an economic advantage, since the standardization of the components results in a reduction in the cost of spare parts. The wrist and the J3 axis of the robot are available with IP67 protection rating.
The FANUC R-2000iC / 220U robot proves to be the ideal choice for a whole range of applications including palletizing, assembly and loading / unloading of all types of materials.
