Since 1952 General Plastics has produced, strictly in Italy, a wide range of closures and ligatures for the pharmaceutical, food and agricultural industries, with particular regard to the TIEFIX-clip and TIEFIX-twist animated tapes for the re-closability of the bags.

General Plastics manufactures ligature and closure systems for closed-bags machines, widely renewed in consideration of the new ecological sensitivity.

In fact, the animated TIEFIX ligation is available both with a non-toxic plastic coating or in kraft or recycled paper, therefore entirely biodegradable.

The novelty of today is made up of TIEFIX-photodegradable, the well-known central-fluted ribbon now produced also with a new photodegradable polymer, which fragments once exposed to external agents and allows the wire to be packaged, packaged and labeled to oxidize and to disappear.

TIEFIX-photodegradable joins the already known TIEFIX-biodegradable, in 100% biodegradable paper, and finds application where the body's density is essential.

The problem related to the elimination of the spent support coils has been successfully overcome by the introduction of support-free bobbins, to be used with a suitable adapter that can be reused to infinity. General Plastics presents, to complete its Tiefix-2Ki range, the paper version of the famous animated wire for plastic-coated twist ligatures. This makes it the only hermetic closure for reusable and 100% biodegradable bags. Tiefix-2Ki, produced with paper and iron, degrades at the end of its use, returning to the natural cycle in the form of cellulose fiber and iron oxide.

A new special high strength paper makes it suitable for use on all automatic and semi-automatic machines.
