SEW-EURODRIVE presents its solutions in two thematic areas: the first in Hall 1, with smart automation technologies for applications in the packaging, food and beverage sectors and virtual experiences and demonstrative apps for digital automation will be available; the second one in Hall 10, with a specific focus on intralogistics and cyber-physics systems within smart factories.
Smart Automation for a Smart Factory
SEW-EURODRIVE proposes its integrated solutions for factory automation, in three main areas:
- connectivity, efficiency and flexibility in machine automation thanks to the modular MOVI-C® platform based on the MOVISUITE® software environment for real and virtual systems engineering;
- specific solutions for cyber-physics systems, ie AGV Automated Guided Vehicle for assembly and intralogistic movements;
- the specific automation solutions for the food sector, which can be viewed on-board the filling machine, born from the partnership with VMS-Maschinenbau GmbH, a German company specialized for over 20 years in the development of machines in the food sector and, specifically, in the development and construction of disolutions for the aseptic filling of liquid or dairy products.
MOVI-C® Connected and flexible solution for automation
SEW-EURODRIVE offers a modular, connected, flexible and user-friendly platform, divided into four modules: MOVISUITE design software with human-centered interface, MOVI-C CONTROLLER control technology, MOVIDRIVE inverter technology and drive-based drive technology One-Cable technology and DDI (Digital Data Interface) interface for data transmission. All presented with three thematic islands positioned on the stand that will allow to grasp all the technical characteristics and advantages in terms of versatility, efficiency and safety.
Automation solutions for aseptic VMS filler
Greater relevance will be given to the functionality of the working filling machine created by the company VMS-Maschinenbau GmbH with the new MOVIDRIVE frequency converters on board and with integrated condition monitoring and augmented reality functions. The "dosing unit", or the completely aseptic filling machine exhibited at the fair, is a model used for research and development purposes to test different models and products. Our solution: a high-performance multi-axis servo system, prefabricated software modules and modern motion control.
Cyber Physical System
The protagonists par excellence of the stand in Hall 10 dedicated to the theme of intralogistics will be the CPS, Cyber Physical System of SEW-EURODRIVE, or the Mobile Assistant System (MAS) developed for different industrial sectors and which provide support for logistics activities or can act as from mobile work table, in the phases of manipulation of the components or for the operations of loading and unloading of the machines, up to the transport of parts and components inside and outside the company. The SEW-EURODRIVE offer includes specific technologies for the realization of these Automated Guided Vehicles (AGV) that can be used for both light and heavy loads. It will then be possible to see a real process of movement and interaction between a "pick and place" portal and a functioning exhibition model of AGV used to transport materials, thanks to the display of a functioning and interactive automation system.
