Industry 4.0 means efficient collaboration between operators, machines and instruments. At Ipack-Ima 2018, Zanasi will be showcasing Orkestra®, the new marking line designed to improve reliability, efficiency and productivity.
Zanasi is specialising in the design and production of industrial inkjet printing systems for coding primary and secondary packaging, Zanasi will be showcasing Orkestra®, a new Industry 4.0-ready modular software platform for optimising coding and marking processes. Orkestra® software is able to control and connect processes, technology and information, thereby cutting costs and maximising productivity. It can summed up in three words: Interaction - Interconnection - Information.
The operator interacts with the marking system via a 10” touchscreen user interface which can be customised according to the function and type of activity. The user can customise the menu and activate the modules that are useful for his work. Each module is identified by an associated icon. The software recognises the operator according to the level of access and provides operating instructions to guide him step by step in daily activities.
Printing control can be viewed directly on the home page of the interface, which indicates the printer status in detail. Real-time monitoring can prevent malfunctions and consequently reduce production stoppages. The easy-to-use graphics editor creates fixed or variable texts, dates, counters, barcodes, logos and images in a suitable format for the printing system without the aid of an external software. The menu editor has an editing control function for guided creation of printing messages and parameters. The system automatically presents the available fields, provides a preview of the message and automatically corrects any coding errors while providing notification. It is the ideal solution for reducing operator coding errors and the consequent waste product costs.
Orkestra® is equipped with a module that serves to interpret data originating from devices present on the line such as ERP, PLCs, scales, scanners and labellers without the aid of external decoders. The adaptive software includes a device present on the line which dialogues with incoming and outgoing data and makes it available to the printing system at the time of product coding. The software configures the inputs and outputs with predetermined functions according to the specific needs of the customer’s line without having to make any modifications to the software. No further customisation costs are required as the marking system automatically detects any device installed on the production line.
Orkestra® measures and records production information that can be used for internal statistics. From installation onwards, detailed reporting provides data on the performance of the system and the connected user. The printing system is an intelligent resource capable of using the reports to simplify equipment commissioning, measure performance and diagnostic elements and take steps to prevent malfunctions, breakdowns and plant stoppages. Analysis of historical data and the potential of real-time information coming from networked equipment are the basic tools for managing lines and working shifts and for improving profitability, process quality and equipment reliability.
New Z5700 of CIJ printing systems
Z5700 ORKESTRA BASED combines the technological excellence of CIJ product range and the ergonomical innovation to optimise productivity. Like all of the Zanasi product offerings, it is equipped with a robust and compact AISI 304 stainless steel IP65 cabinet, specifically designed to offer a total protection against water, steam and dust. The system, which is certified by external tests (EN60529), shows a strong resistance and constant performances even in harsh environments, characterized by high humidity and condensation. Resistant and highly performing, Z5700 is available in different configurations, depending on the application and adjustable with a variety of fonts and matrices essential to obtain high-quality prints up to 5 lines, on flat, curved, regular and irregular surfaces. According to what has to be printed and where, it perfectly integrates into production lines with a print speed exceeding 2000 characters/sec., and thanks to the special UHS (Ultra High Speed) software, it can reach 400m/min. speed. Reliable and efficient in many different application contexts, the system limits management and maintenance costs. The technologically advanced hydraulic system and the automatic printhead washing guarantee an easy and quick start up even after long production stops, allowing to keep high quality standards and working process continuity.
Z5700 is based on an innovative management software and on a stable and flexible operating system, with 10.1″ color touchscreen. A new coding experience with customizable user interface for each operator through language, keyboard and activities (multilevel login). The graphic editor, thanks to its simple and intuitive icons and stretch and drag & drop functions, guarantees the maximum efficiency in managing messages and reduces errors on the part of the operator.
