Strategic alliance between AGCO and Ocrim

Two players, one goal: the collaboration agreement between AGCO and OCRIM was signed. The alliance between the two global players in the agri-food sector was established on the “Farm to Fork” philosophy to offer shared projects to the world market. The goal is to enable customers around the world to have a single interface capable of combining know-how and the most innovative technology in grain processing and storage.

AGCO - Ocrim: accordo

In the last few years, AGCO’s Grain & Protein division, with CIMBRA and GSI brands, has been planning a 360 degrees collaboration project with Ocrim that would benefit customers worldwide. To the great satisfaction of both parties, the strategic alliance was formalised on 29 June by signing the collaboration agreement that will enable to deeply penetrate the milling and storage market at a global level. In a progressively dynamic and competitive scenario, guaranteeing access to a dual patrimony of expertise will enable customers to interact with a single interface, offering an efficient and flexible solution: from now on AGCO and OCRIM will share their know-how, technologies, experience and project skills to offer strategic and economic advantages to their customers. “It’s not just about a business deal” says Stephan Buskies, Vice President & General Manager, AGCO Grain & Protein“but about an actual journey together with the customer”. As regards the milling and storage sectors, combining the strengths of a player of AGCO’s calibre with those of Ocrim translates into a guarantee of quality, customisation and increased expertise, all encapsulated in a new business model for a common vision of “Farm to Fork”.

At Ocrim’s headquarters in Cremona, Alberto and Sergio Antolini, respectively CEO and Chairman of Ocrim, welcome the AGCO, CIMBRA and GSI contingent represented by Stefan Caspari, Senior Vice President & General Manager Agco Grain and Protein, Stephan Buskies, Vice President & General Manager, Agco Grain & Protein, EAME and Ugo Balestrieri, Sales Director Seed & Food, Agco Grain & Protein.

Stefano Mazzini – Ocrim Sales and Marketing Director – Fabrizio Baccinelli – Ocrim Sales Director – and Daniele Zotti – Ocrim Operations and Engineering Director were present.

After a short welcome speech and a buffet lunch set up in the Ocrim Museum, Alberto Antolini, Stefan Caspari and Sergio Antolini signed the agreement, passing it from hand to hand and thereby marking the beginning of a new global collaboration.

Alberto Antolini took the floor during the signing ceremony: “The world is changing and today’s developed market is no longer seeking a conventional technology provider. Customers want a reliable partner capable of offering and delivering multiple tailor-made solutions. I strongly believe that the future is projected towards a ‘Farm to Fork’ solution, and this partnership is the pillar of such philosophy.”

Stefan Caspari reiterates "We are delighted about this collaboration, which will help drive productivity for our customers, improve food security and sustainability. The agreement will enable the delivery of integrated customer solutions, customizable based on their needs and supported with best-in-class technology for the milling business.”
