On March 6 in Milan, in a special gala evening in the setting of Palazzo Visconti, the prizes of the fourth Quality Award were awarded.
The Quality Award is the recognition given in Italy to quality food products through laboratory tests conducted directly with consumers.
The award-winning Quality Awards 2019
Laboratory tests are carried out by a sample of consumers, who evaluate the products through blind tests: without showing them the brand to which the product belongs, each consumer expresses a judgment regarding some components (ingredients label, overall satisfaction) , taste, appearance, texture, smell).
If the product under test will widely satisfy consumers, they can receive the Quality Award, valid for one year.
The product under test can obtain the Quality Award recognition only if the average overall consumer rating is equal to or greater than 7, on a scale from zero to ten, the taste is equal to or greater than 7 and 70% of consumers declare themselves in favor purchase.
Among the products that are analyzed and eventually rewarded, we find many of them for daily use: ground coffee, capsule coffee, extra virgin olive oil, dried durum wheat pasta, whole fresh pasta, gluten-free pasta, butter, cheeses, ready-made sauces , canned tomatoes, vegetable burger, biscuits, savory snacks, fruit mousse, and many others.
In this edition, products that have already received this recognition last year will be awarded and to achieve this goal they had to improve their test results.
Not just the Quality Award - The # PET2019 winners
On the same evening, the products of the Pet Award were also elected, with the Quality Award declined for the products of the market for four-legged friends. Among the winning product categories we find: dog and cat dry food, dry grain free food for dogs, wet cat food, accessories, cat litter, snacks for dogs and cats, and many others.
The Quality Award brand is owned by Marketing Consulting, a company with strong experience in laboratory analysis with consumers, both nationally and internationally, led by Antonio Decaro.
