Over 2,000 sq. ft. of beverage & packaging technology will be packed at Pack Expo Las Vegas 2017, the international event taking place in the famous casino city, in the heart of the US state of Nevada, from September 25-27.
With a turnover of $ 20 million and a $ 8 million stockholding facility, the Sacmi Group sees one of the top five worldwide sales markets in the States where, with Sacmi Usa ( landmark) has been operating since 1994 with aftermarket services such as spare parts supply and customer service. Strong of these numbers, the Group seizes the opportunity to illustrate the latest technologies and solutions for complete beverage and closure systems to the more than 30,000 visitors expected in Las Vegas.
On the one hand, at Sacmi's corner (No. 6249 within the Italian collective), visitors can learn more about state-of-the-art machines, further improved in terms of performance, productivity, and consumption. On the other hand, the Sacmi US staff will be available to present the new integrated platforms that, in optics 4.0, bring together all the steps of the beverage line, from preform to capsule, filling to labeling, under one single production logic.
A completely new production approach, summed up by Sacmi's Closures & Containers Director General, Vezio Bernardi, has a twofold meaning: "Sacmi proposes to the market, even in 2017, many novelties on individual machines, which remain the the heart of the Group's technological and plant offerings. On the other hand, Sacmi has developed integrated platforms to maximize the efficiency index of the line and offer new and unprecedented opportunities to its customers, such as the new HeroBlock, the solution that blends blow molding, filling, closing and labeling, optimizing time, space and resources; or the advanced CPB warehouse for capsules and preforms that converts the bottling world to that of converters with potential wall-to-wall or in-house manufacturing solutions".
Sacmi's added value is the total quality control, guaranteed by the integration of single machines with vision systems, designed by the Sacmi Automation & Inspection Systems Division, operating in line and designed to inspect 360 ° each single capsule, preform, container and label. Plant controllers that, with Sacmi, transform into a true system able to interconnect the individual HUTs (Human Expertise for ReactiveEngineering) and return valuable feedback on the operation of the production line with the aim of increasing l 'average efficiency index of the plant and translate into a concrete advantage for producers the opportunities and principles of Industry 4.0.
