The bag-in box packaging system is increasingly spreading among olive oil producers because it prevents oxygen from coming into contact with oil during storage and dispensing. As a result, it improves the freshness of the product and the homogeneity of the taste, extending also the shelf-life of olive-based products.
There are two types of Alfa Laval-bag-in-box toilet fillers, Small and Large Fillers.
The small filler is designed for semi-automatic filling for bags of 3 to 20 liters, and has a cadence of 250 bags per hour, while there are 200 liter bags with a cadence of 10 bags per hour. All bags are equipped with a 1 "pressure plug, which can operate as a dispenser for the product. The bag is inserted manually or automatically into a cardboard. The operator inserts the bag into the pliers and the machine automatically seeps, fills and retraces the bag. For precise product dosing, high precision mass flowmeters are used.
The Big Filler (see picture on the left) is also designed for fully automatic filling for 3 to 20 liters bags, with 700 bags per hour in 3-liter format. All bags are equipped with a 1 "pressure plug, which can operate as a dispenser for the product. The bag is automatically inserted into the cardboard by the Alibas Laval Combibox carton, combining carton shape, pneumatic hopper for delivering the bag inside the cardboard and closing the cardboard into a single monobloc.
Cartons can be sealed with adhesive tape or with hot glue. The big filler starts from a "strip" called "web" of all attached bags. After separating the single bag automatically, it is delivered to the filling valve where it is sealed, filled and retired.
The combination of Big Filler plus Combibox guarantees high potential in a very limited space.
