IEG - Italian Exhibition Group presents a record edition of the world exhibition of artisan confectionery. Sold out district, major events and over 33,000 international buyers expected at the fair. This year focus on the United States, market in extraordinary development.

It is a show that rewards world excellences, presents new formats, develops international networking and grows the business.

 

The aim of SIGEP 2018, which will have a particular focus on the US market in extraordinary development, will be to express the powerful profile of internationality under the qualitative aspect; will increase the economic importance of hosted buyers (1000 from 40 countries), their purchasing capacity, the presence of large distributors and leading brands. Guests from all over the world "keypeaple" who dictate and trace trends, anticipating future business for the benefit of companies.

 

The 2018 edition will propose 900 events and test areas by exhibitors; 32 competitions of which 7 international (423 between competitors and judges), including: The World Cup of Ice Cream with 12 countries that have selected their best representatives to compete in Sigep; the Pastry Queen Women's Pastry World Championship with 12 strong competitors; The Star of Chocolate and the Italian Chocolate and Chocolate Championship among chocolate events; the Italian Championships baristas dedicated to coffee and the major bakery events.

 

SIGEP also represents an opportunity for high education: 13 stages with the great masters of artisanal confectionery; 92 conferences and presentations of new projects with 279 speakers.

 

During the five days, 160,000 buyers are expected to attend, with over 33,000 foreign visitors from 180 countries. 1250 companies will be distributed on the record surface and sold out for months with 129,000 square meters, achieved by the quarter of Rimini with the last step of expansion.

It is exceptional the effort made by IEG and the territory to better accommodate the presences. To facilitate transfers, seven airports are connected to the shuttle bus fair: Bologna, Milan Linate, Rome Fiumicino, Falconara, Venice, Treviso and Bergamo. The new 2018 is the construction of a SIGEP train that will move between the stations of Cattolica (five stops) and Santarcangelo, in both directions.
