Rupture discs certified according to the ASME directive

In the food sector there is a long series of bioprocesses - such as fermentation - for which a constant temperature is required, which is guaranteed by a refrigeration system. Should this fail, the pressure would rise in an uncontrolled manner, which makes it necessary to install special rupture discs on the bioreactors to avoid the risk of damage to the system. These must meet stringent hygiene standards and be able to withstand vacuum conditions without supports.

The ideal choice falls on the NS NANOSCORED disks of DonadonSDD for sanitary applications, micro engraved only on the exhaust side, equipped with CLAMP seals certified according to the FDA and USP class VI, and able to withstand vacuum without supports, even to operate at pressure less than 0.5 barg, on Dn40 and even higher diameters; in fact, these products combine the technical characteristics necessary for the operating situation with the possibility of cleaning required by the application sector.

The NS Nanoscored discs by DonadonSDD, being made entirely of AISI 316L stainless steel (or other alloys, upon customer's specific request) have a perfectly smooth surface and can easily be subjected to procedures that include C.I.P. and S.I.P. for the maintenance of aseptic conditions. To complete the profile that makes them ideal for these applications, the possibility of inserting them in Clamp or Tri-Clamp fittings, thanks to the FDA or USP class VI PTFE-certified gaskets, in addition to the fact that they do not present any fragmentation at the time of breaking.

NS NANOSCORED discs are certified according to ASME Section VIII, Division 1!
